There was an apparent assassination in Phuket last night. It happened in Kathu, between the checkpoint and Patong hill. It sounds as if there was a car chase and one of the guys involved opened fire. Looks like there is at least one dead. There are unconfirmed reports that the guy who was shot was the owner of 99 Seafood restaurant.
Dark things sometime happen in Phuket.
