It’s that time of year again: The Phuket Blues Festival is almost upon us. Undoubtedly one of the highlights of the year in Phuket, the Phuket Blues Festival will take place February 20-21 once again at the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort and Spa located in Karon.
Last year’s festival was a blast with some great live music and a fantastic crowd enjoying the laid-back vibe.
The 2009 festival will be headlined by Eric Bibb, a household name for blues fans around the world. Joining Mr Bibb will be the likes of Mitch Woods and his Rocket 88s, Bert Deivert & Janne Zander, a pretty aussie lady named KNIKI and Chasing Jimi, which is a Jimi Hendrix tribute band.
It should be another great festival. Lord knows Phuket needs some good times after the recent “high” season. There will be a pre-festival bash held at Rockin’ Angel Jammin’ Café on February 19.
