We’re often asked about which Phuket hotels we recommend. It’s never an easy question to answer. The range of hotels in Phuket is vast. It really comes down to two things: budget and location. However, if money were no option and we had our pick of the Phuket hotels and resorts available, there’s one place we would go for every time: Indigo Pearl resort in Nai Yang.
Apart from being a resort located by the beach, which is always a bonus, Indigo Pearl is really special. In most hotels, no matter how many stars they may have, you can never quite relax completely because you’re always aware that you’re in a hotel room. Staying at Indigo Pearl is such an engrossing experience that you really forget where you are altogether.
The food is top notch and there’s a cute little cocktail bar, but it’s the design and décor of the resort that does it for us. The whole place is modeled on Phuket’s tin-mining history. There is so much attention to detail – from the cutlery to the showerheads. Of course, it’ll cost you a pretty penny to stay at this Phuket resort, but for a bit of a splurge, it can’t be beaten.
