Little India is a great restaurant for Indian food in Phuket. The restaurant is small, with only a handful of tables, but the vibe is what makes this restaurant stand out. Rather than opting for the standard decor you see in most Phuket Indian restaurants, Little India looks more like a furniture showroom and it also has the same cutlery as used at the Indigo Pearl resort at Nai Yang Beach.

The food is really good, with a basic of prawn, lamb, chicken and vegetable dishes, as well as the usual accompaniments of nan breads, rice and poppadoms.

Little India restaurant is priced about right for the quality of the food on offer. The house wine, however, is nothing to write home about. Expect to pay about 400 baht for half a liter.

Little India is located just up the road from Toto’s. If you’re in Cherng Talay, this is the place to go for Indian food. The staff are pretty friendly at this Phuket restaurant, although don’t seem too interested in what’s going on. The food and the setting make up for this, however.
