We came across this Phuket video recently and thought it was rather interesting. All right, it isn’t the most challenging of subjects to film, but someone has evidently put a lot of effort into compiling a collection of clips from the Phuket nightlife scene.

In this video you see pretty much every side of nightlife in Patong, primarily focused around the clubs and bars in Soi Bangla. As you’d expect, there are lots of close ups of Patong girls and it looks as if there are a few ladyboys in there too. If you’ve ever been to Patong then you’ll know this is one, but not the only, side of nightlife in Phuket.

Phuket has its fair share of Muay Thai gyms. Tiger Muay Thai is one of the most prominent. You can find lots of Muay Thai videos knocking around the Internet, but nothing beats experiencing the sport in the flesh, so to speak.

If you’re looking for a Muay Thai holiday, there is probably nowhere better to find it than in Phuket. The island is beautiful and there are some top trainers and fighters here. Check out this video of one of Tiger Muay Thai’s warriors going into battle earlier this month at the Patong Muay Thai Stadium.

Here’s an oldie but a goodie to get you into the Christmas spirit. Phuket’s beaches and nightlife attracts its fair share of celebrities. Most of the top celebrities manage to visit Phuket without so much as causing a ripple in the water. Most of the time you don’t even know they’re on the island.

There are some celebs, however, who seem to always create some sort of chaos no matter where they go. Pete Doherty is one of them. This video shows Pete Doherty shooting up cocaine in a cheap Phuket hotel room.

It’s not so much the drugs that’s disturbing in this video, but rather the fact that these girls invited him back to their room, filmed the whole thing and then sold the story to a US media outlet.

All of this took place after Pete and ex-girlfriend Kate Moss had been celebrating New Year in Phuket. It all goes down in the Land of Smiles.

A possible spot for diving in Phuket is off the coast of the small island of Koh Bon. Koh Bon is a tiny Phuket island easily reachable by boat from Rawai Beach or, so we’re told, any of Phuket’s major beaches.

In this Phuket diving video, you can see the incredible sight of a manta ray, spotted around Koh Bon. The grace and beauty of the manta ray is unmistakable. The number of diving videos showing manta rays around Koh Bon is proof that these magnificent creatures are rather common in that area. Let’s hope it stays that way.

The problem comes with people watching a video like this and assuming that it’s the norm in Phuket and Thailand in general. It’s not, but don’t forget there are strip clubs all over the world, even in the mighty US and the UK.

If you do fancy heading to a strip club in Phuket, be aware that there aren’t a whole bunch of lap dancing clubs around the island.

If you’ve ever watched any of the Phuket television stations then you would probably agree that watching a lap dance is a lot more interesting than watching regular programming. There is one Phuket television channel that has seemingly been running the same handful of programs for several years.

In the video is a small child referred to as a “bar kid”. He is said to hang around the bars until late at night, meaning he is likely the son of one of the bar girls or street vendors.

Patong Beach brings together an interesting range of people. You really never know who you might bump into while you’re down there. On occasions, there are even sightings of a cowboy magician. We’ll try and bring you a video of that particular Patong character soon.

Songkran takes place every year April 13 to 15. It’s not until the final day when people go completely nuts around Phuket and the majority of the water fighting takes place. The best way to enjoy Songkran in Phuket, if you can hack it, is to find a friend with a pickup truck and get them to drive around the island.

Load yourselves up with a barrel of water and a bunch of bucket and water guns and follow the trail. Songkran in Patong is a blast — literally. The bar girls, tourists, locals, expats — everyone joins in the fun for Songkran in Patong.
