I'm gonna try Anna's pub tonight, my friends have been there recently and they said the food and the atmosphere is lovely. I'll let you know.
@Phuket Vougue: don't be so defensive. It can happen everywhere, that's true, but when it happens the reputation of a place is easy to drop off, especially now with the internet. This is a good thing, because bad reviews will force the restaurant' owners to keep the quality of the food always high and work with fresh ingredients. Personally if I go to a Thai restaurnat I would order Thai food, not western food.
I have been to Bistro 104 in Phuket Town last month, I had great food, but I felt sick for 2 days, other guests had a very hard time too in digesting... by the other side other people had great meals before without any problem, so I always give another chance to a place even if I didn't feel good. I'll let you know after tonight if I would have problems ;-)

That sounds horrible. It is possible to get food poisoning from anywhere, though. We've had it from a 5-star resort in Phuket. One thing you will find is that most cases of food poisoning occur after eating euro-style food in Thai-run restaurants. It's happened to us with various pasta dishes.

We've never had any problems with the Thai food in Anna's, though.

After 2 weeks of backpacking through thailand and eating off street vendors, our group of five thought it should treat itself with an upperclass restaurant visit, so we went to Anna's.
The restaurant itself das a very pretty interior, the service was good enough.
When it was time to order most of us wanted european-style food and dessert.

That night four of us spent the night on the toilet either vomiting and/or with diarrhea and 3 of us the next day sick in bed.
One of our group is a physician by trade and diagnosed us with food poisoning.

So, Anna's may be a nice restaurant but don't go there if you have any plans for the following day.
