Phuket nightlife
As an island, Phuket has never been renowned for its nightlife. While there have always been bars and clubs in Phuket, it’s only recently that the club scene has begun to evolve. It still has a long way to go, but Phuket has a decent live music scene and there are clubs playing everything from funky house to breaks. The closing times are similar to in Bangkok and tend to vary on the current mood of the local police. Phuket is as popular as ever, with more than five million people visiting each year.
